Queen Aminata defeated Persephone in the main event of AEW Fright Night Dynamite on October 28 to win the TBS Championship and capture her first AEW title. That result is confirmed by AEW’s official event recap—and it is the story worth keeping at the center of this one.
How Aminata won the TBS Championship
AEW’s official results show Aminata surviving interference from Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., including a belt shot while referee Aubrey Edwards was checking on Persephone. Aminata later escaped a crucifix-bomb attempt, landed a Queen’s Crown headbutt and finished Persephone with Off With Her Head for the three-count.
The win gave Aminata her first AEW championship and ended the show with members of the women’s locker room joining the celebration. Persephone remains CMLL World Women’s Champion.
What else mattered on Dynamite
AEW also used the episode to move several stories toward Blood and Guts and Full Gear. The official recap confirmed The Cut defeating the Death Riders and continued the build toward Will Ospreay versus Kyle Fletcher at Full Gear. The larger point is familiar to wrestling fans: television title changes work best when they also create momentum for what comes next.
A correction on WWE Crown Jewel
An earlier version of this article repeated a secondary report that WWE Crown Jewel had moved venues within Riyadh. I could not substantiate that claim against WWE’s current official information, so it has been removed.
As of October 31, WWE’s official upcoming-events page lists Crown Jewel for Saturday, November 7 at Riyadh Season Stadium at KAFD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WWE’s original event announcement identifies the same venue. That is the authoritative baseline unless WWE announces otherwise.
This is exactly why wrestling news benefits from separating what a promotion has officially announced from what is circulating through secondary reports. Both can be useful. They are not the same thing.
